FAQ: How does the level of star activity of PstI-HF compare to PstI?

The Fidelity Index which measures the minimum units to produce star activity was determined using the following conditions; 1X NEBuffer, 5% glycerol, Lambda DNA (1µg/50 µl), incubated for 1 hour at 37˚C . The minimum number of units of PstI-HF required to produce star activity in the recommended NEBuffer 4 is (4000 units). The minimum number of units of PstI required to produce star activity in the recommended NEBuffer 3 is (120 units).The minimum number of units of PstI required to produce star activity in NEBuffer 4 is (8 units).
